PURPOSE: To facilitate the production of a magnetic head and to improve productivity by pinching a part of the magnetic pole body by structures which pinch a piezoelectric material with electrodes and constituting the part of the body of CoF2 or MnF2.

CONSTITUTION: A part of the body of the magnetic pole 1 which generates a leak magnetic field is pinched by the structures which pinch the piezoelectric material 9 with the electrodes 2. The part of the body is constituted of the CoF2 or MnF2. The CoF2 or MnF2 exhibits a piezo-magnetic effect. The piezoelectric material 9 impressed with voltages by electrodes 2 oscillate in the part A of the body 1 and a stress is applied to the part of the body A by this oscillation. Since the part of the body A is constituted of the material exhibiting the PM effect, magnetization is induced in this part. Consequently, the recording to the medium by utilizing the leak magnetic field 7 is possible. The structure thereof is simplified in this way and the processing is mode easy. The productivity is thus improved.
