Title:
AIR CONDITIONER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3177392
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make a flow rate speed of refrigerant substantially equal by a method wherein an aeration resistance at an outlet port of an upper refrigerant flow passage is set to be higher than an aeration resistance of a lower refrigerant flow passage.
CONSTITUTION: A merging flow pipe 53 is used for connecting refrigerant flow passages A1, A2, B1 and B2. As outlet pipes 48, 49, a pipe having an outer diameter of 4.73mm is used and as a heat transfer pipe 40 a pipe with an outer diameter of 7.00mm is used. Since the pipe having a larger outer diameter has a larger inner diameter, a flowing resistance of each of outlet pipes 50, 51 is larger than a flow passage resistance of each of the outlet pipes 48, 49. Then, an upper part of a heat exchanger 14 is bent in a chevron shape toward a rear surface side of an indoor device, a position of the flow branch pipe 45 is set at a substantial central part of the heat exchanger 14, an outlet port 48 in the upper refrigerant flow passage A1 is positioned at the upper-most position of the heat exchanger 14 and the outlet pipe 51 of the lower refrigerant flow passage B2 is positioned at a substantial lower-most location. Due to this fact, in the heat exchanger used as an evaporator, refrigerant flows more easily in the upper refrigerant flow passage A than in the lower refrigerant flow passage B.
