Abstract:

To provide a magnetic memory capable of reducing the installation area of a recording element and a reproduction element and realizing high density recording power saving, and to provide an information recording/reproducing method.

The magnetic memory comprises a magnetic thin line as an information recording medium, the reproduction element for reproducing information recorded in the magnetic thin line and the recording element for recording information in the magnetic thin line, and records or reproduces the information by moving a magnetic wall partitioning a plurality of magnetic domains formed on the magnetic thin line by a current supplied from a power source. The magnetic thin line is formed so as to be held between the recording element and the reproduction element.
