PURPOSE: To improve the packability and dispersibility of acicular magnetic powder and to improve electrical characteristics by depositing the magnetic powder together with a binder component on a substrate and providing ≥1 layers of magnetic layers having specific conditions.
CONSTITUTION: The acicular magnetic powder 6 is mixed and dispersed together with the binder component 7 in a nonpolar solvent and after the flocculated particles of the magnetic powder 6 are removed from this dispersion soln., the dispersion soln. is dropped onto the liquid surface of the polar solvent and the nonpolar solvent is evaporated. The substrate 5 is then submerged into this polar solvent and is pulled up to transfer the magnetic powder 6 on the surface of the substrate 5, then the magnetic powder is dried. The magnetic layers 8 which are n×a×b≥0.6 in the relation between the number n of the magnetic powder 6 per unit area, the average major axis diameter (a) of the magnetic powder 6 and the average minor axis diameter (b) of the magnetic powder 6 and has ≤1.5×b average thickness are formed. The packability and dispersibility of the magnetic powder 6 are sufficiently improved and the electrical characteristics are improved.
