PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic recording medium which is low in dynamical friction characteristic, excellent in surface characteristic and also satisfactory in high- pass sensitivity, by using a magnetic paint containing a hardening agent, to which glyceride and phosphoric acid ester have been added.
CONSTITUTION: Glyceride and phosphoric acid ester are used together and are further added to a magnetic paint which has mixed magnetic powder (example: γ-Fe2O3), a binder (example: polyurethane resin, vinylidene chloride-vinyl chloride copolymer, etc.), and a hardening agent, and a magnetic paint which has been obtained in this way is applied and stuck on the supporting body, and a magnetic recording medium is formed. As for said magnetic paint, since a hardening reaction by a hardening agent is made slow, a magnetic layer applied film whose surface characteristic is satisfactory can be obtained even if it is used after a long time has passed after preparation, and also since a dispersion property of magnetic powder in the paint is satisfactory, a magnetic layer whose high-pass sensitivity is satisfactory can be formed.
