Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily convert address code data at high speed into a cylinder number by allowing it to correspond to 0 when the peak of reproducing signal is detected during a 1st period and to 1 when it is detected during a 2nd period. CONSTITUTION:The peak of reproducing signal outputted from a magnetic head 40 is detected by a peak detection circuit 41 to output the peak detection signal. A clock signal outputted from a clock generator 42 is counted by a window signal generator 43 from the fall time of the aforementioned detection signal, then window signals Wa, Wb are outputted in accordance with this value. When the peak detection signal is detected by a data detection circuit 44 during the time the signal Wa is in the low level, the address code data are decided as 1. Meanwhile, the aforementioned data are detected as 0 when the aforementioned signal is detected during the time the signal Wb is in the low level.
