PURPOSE: To attain read/write of a signal even with an inexpensive general-purpose DRAM and to reduce the address switching processing in a frame memory by dividing a luminance signal into two channels at a 1st line memory so as to expand the time base into twice thereby reducing a data transmission speed.
CONSTITUTION: A video signal is inputted to a frame memory at deshuffling and a TCI intermediate video output signal is outputted from the memory. The TCI intermediate video output signal is inputted to a line memory. At shuffling the TCI intermediate video signal fed from a line memory is inputted from the left side of the paper and a TCI video signal is outputted from the right side of this paper, while the TCI video signal is inputted from the right side of the paper at deshuffling and the TCI intermediate video signal subjected to deshuffling processing is outputted from the left side of the paper. The TCI intermediate video signal is inputted to the line memory, in which base band processing is implemented. The signal processing is implemented in the structure of the line memory at deshuffling.
