PURPOSE:To prevent a color from fainting away on a TV picture by obtaining a signal corresponding to the transfer to a track from a tracking control signal at the time of transfer to the track during fast forwarding reproduction in a normal direction and a reverse direction, and changing over a carrier chrominance signal to a 1H delay signal and a through signal which is not delayed. CONSTITUTION:An on track signal generating circuit 1 generates a pulse when a tracking error signal passes through a zero reference point to feed an on track pulse to a monostable multivibrator 2 different in delay time in the fast forwarding reproduction in the normal direction and reverse direction. Herein, the delay time is set to the delay time corresponding to a transfer part to track determined generally by a double speed ratio and a tape running direction of the fast forwarding. Then, a bistable multivibrator 3 is subject to a trigger, the 1H delayed carrier chrominance signal from a 1H delay circuit 4 and the through carrier chrominance signal which is not delayed are changed over by a change over switch 5 through the output thereof, then, a burst phase is not disconnected, so that in a video signal mixed with a luminance signal in a mixed of a next step, a phenomenon such as the color fainting away is not produced since a color killer of a monitor is not operated.
