Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate the reproducing of a sampling clock for demodulation, as to a magnetic recording and reproducing system utilizing a partial response system. CONSTITUTION:A N-bit data word is encoded into a (M(>N))-bit encoding word with a encoder part 1, precoded to be a recording data by a precoder 2, NRZI-recorded on a recording medium 4 by a recording part 3, and the data word is encoded to the encoding word by the encoder part 1 so that the recording data by the precoder 2 can satisfy the run length which is below a '0' continuous number of a prescribed constant.
