Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an axial surface image by high speed imaging according to an echo planar method, by connecting the first inclined magnetic field power source to one of respective inclined magnetic field coils to generate an inclined magnetic field for reading.

CONSTITUTION: In executing an echo planar method, when the photographing of an axial surface image is indicated in such a state that an examinee P is arranged in a predetermined magnetic field forming space and a computer system 7 is operated, a sequencer 6 gives a change-over order in order to generate a slicing inclined magnetic field in a Z-axis direction, a reading inclined magnetic field in an X-axis direction and an encoding inclined magnetic field in a Y-axis direction and applies the slicing inclined magnetic field, the encoding inclined magnetic field and the reading inclined magnetic field and further applies the exciting high frequency magnetic field generated from a transmitting/ receiving coil 3 to generate a magnetic resonance phenomenon in the specific area of the examinee P and the signal thereof is collected by said transmitting/ receiving coil 3 and taken in the computer system 7 to obtain the bio-diagnostic data of the examinee P. Therefore, the axial surface image can be obtained by high speed imaging due to the echo planar method.
