Abstract:
A magnetic sensor 1 according to the present invention is less likely to have a reduction in measurement accuracy of a magnetoresistive element and includes a magnetic shield. The magnetic sensor 1 includes magnetoresistive elements 11a to 11d, a magnetic shield 20 facing the magnetoresistive elements 11a to 11d and reducing the strength of a target magnetic field that is applied to the magnetoresistive elements 11a to 11d and is to be measured, and flat coils 12a and 12b electrically connected to the magnetoresistive elements 11a to 11d. The flat coils 12a and 12b generate magnetic fields in response to power supply to the flat coils 12a and 12b and the magnetoresistive elements 11a to 11d. The generated magnetic fields cause a bias magnetic field B to be applied to the magnetic shield 20.
