PURPOSE: To provide a magnetic treating apparatus which performs a magnetic treatment such as magnetization of a liq. and sterilization based on emission of magnetic lines of force and is used in the fields of public water supply, waste water facility, drinks, foods, wine manufacturing and others.

CONSTITUTION: The apparatus is a magnetic treating apparatus 1 wherein a permanent magnet 4 with a magnetic force of at least 100 G is arranged in a path of a container and the outer periphery of the container 2 is covered with a wrapping material consisting of a ferromagnetic substance 3 and a ferromagnetic substance 3 consisting of a mesh-like wire is arranged in the path. As magnetic flux density in the path can be concentrated thereby and more magnetic lines of force can be emitted to an object to be treated, it is possible to remarkably improve magnetization of the object to be treated and sterilization effect thereof.
