Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a magnetostatic wave device which can control the operation frequency, that is, the frequency in propagation band by using a magnetic garnet single crystal film where the saturation magnetization is made small.
CONSTITUTION: This magnetostatic wave device consists of a magnetic garnet single crystal film made of a material whose composition expressed by a general formula R3-xCaxMa5-2y+xZryMby-xO12 where R is at least one kind out of Y, La, Bi, Gd, Lu, and Sc, and Ma is Fe alone or Fe and at least one kind out of Ga, and Al, and Mg is at least one kind out of Mg and Mn.
