Abstract:
PURPOSE: To save labor and time for calculating a correction factor and to improve operability for correcting a magnification by allowing an operator to read the length of a copied image, at the time of adjusting a lens magnification and scanning speed.
CONSTITUTION: The lengths (a) and (b) of a toner image 81-4 and an image 82-4, to be formed when a reference original (reference image) is copied at a prescribed magnification, are theoretically obtained. On the other hand, the lengths (a') and (b') of the actually formed toner image are detected by a detector, and the lens magnification and the scanning speed are corrected so as to make the lengths coincident (a=a' and b=b').
