Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make the magnified display of a magnified display screen in the split display area of an optional position by switching to a magnified scanning when it is detected that a scanning address enters a split display area during a normal scanning. CONSTITUTION:Reading scanning for display is made from X direction to Y direction. When the reading scanning enters a split display area 12, a split display area detecting mechanism operates, and switched to magnified display scanning. As magnified display scanning at this time is operated basing on the designation of a magnified area 11, the data of the magnified area 11 are read out from a graphic plane 1, and converted to series signals to load on video signals. When reading speed and converting speed at this time are made to, for instance, 1/2 of normal speed, display picture elements are magnified twice in the X direction and displayed in the split display area 12. Magnification in Y direction is made to twice by making the renewal of scanning address in Y direction to 1/2.
