Title:
MAGNIFYING LENS AND HEAD-MOUNTED LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE PROVIDED WITH SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3531316
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and light head-mounted liquid crystal display device using a small liquid crystal display element under two inches in diagonal length and having the wide angle of a visual field.
SOLUTION: A magnifying lens is composed of three lenses made of sulfur- contained urethane resin and in order from the object side, a first positive meniscus lens whose concave surface confronts the object side, a second plano- convex lens whose plane confronts the object side and a third plano-convex lens whose convex surface confronts the object side are arranged. The conditions: (1) 0.5<&phiv 3/&phiv <0.58, (2) -0.65&phiv <&phiv 1f-1.24&phiv 1>-0.42&phiv are satisfied, where, &phiv is the refractive power of a whole system, &phiv 1 is the refractive power of the first lens, &phiv 3 is the refractive power of the third lens and &phiv 1f is the refractive power of the surface on the object side of the first lens.
