Title:
MAIL BOX SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3822291
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately guess a height of the whole sheet stacks stacked in a selected mail box bin by using a sheet thickness and the correction factor of a staple buildup, and guessing and correcting the point count amount to automatically correct a point count.
SOLUTION: A correction factor of thickness of sheets, a staple stop and the other binding are preset in a non-volatile memory of a controller as the correction factor of a staple buildup, and are used to correct a point count calculation of the sheets. When the sheets are fed to a mail box, an expression of a point count is applied with every sheet to a proposal for the receiving possibility of its box, and the point number from the proposal is added to the total point number of already existing sheets. When its total exceeds the allowable point number of a bin, the sheets are transferred to the other bin, and are put in the bin when the total does not exceeds the allowable point number, and a stack height is accurately measured by pursuing the total point number in the bin.
