Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main shaft table of a machine tool which can inexpensively configure a brake mechanism of a rotating main shaft which can quickly rotates and indexes a main shaft of an exact position, is easy in maintenance, hardly causes the positional displacement of the rotating main shaft, and is practical in use.SOLUTION: A main shaft table 1 is constituted of a main shaft head 2, a support base table 3 or the like which can be attached with a tool. The main shaft head 2 rotates with a center shaft (rotating shaft B) of a columnar rotating main shaft 21 as a center by a rotation drive mechanism 4 which is embedded into the support base table 3, and is indexed to a prescribed posture. Furthermore, a brake mechanism is arranged which stops the rotation of the rotating main shaft 21 by pressing a piston 20 to a brake plate 26 by hydraulic pressure, hydraulic pressure to a direction opposite to a pressing direction of the piston 20 to the brake plate 26 is made to act on a brake member 23 of the rotating main shaft 21 at the operation of the brake mechanism, and the brake member 23 is pressed against a reference face 19 which is formed at the support base table 3.
