Abstract:
The present invention prevents fine powders from colliding with a roller journal so as to inhibit generation of friction, improves workability in maintenance and management, and further reduces the risk of causing damage to a base material. Provided is a protector for protecting a roller journal section (20J) and installed in a crushing roller unit (20) that is provided with: a journal head (23) disposed on a peripheral wall (11b) of a housing (11) of a crusher; and a crushing roller (21) having a roller main body (21c) for crushing solid objects on the top surface of a crushing table (13), and that has, beneath a shaft section (21b), a carrier gas outlet (32) for blowing out a carrier gas upward, said protector having: a mounting panel part (41) which is mounted to the journal head (23); and a shield (42) of which a base end (42a) is fixed to the mounting panel part (41), and which covers the area where the carrier gas from the carrier gas outlet (32) hits to protect that area from collision with the fine powders.
