Abstract:
To provide malicious event detection for autonomous vehicles.SOLUTION: A system includes an autonomous vehicle (AV) and a control device. The AV includes at least one vehicle sensor provided on the AV, and is configured to travel along a road. The control device is associated with the AV and includes a processor. The processor is configured to perform: detecting a series of events within a threshold period of time from sensor data received from the at least one vehicle sensor; determining whether the series of events corresponds to a malicious event; and escalating the series of events so as to be coped with, in response to the determination that the series of events corresponds to the malicious event.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
