Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a malodor absorptive polymer and fiber.SOLUTION: A thermoplastic polyolefin polymer composition, a polymer chip, a fiber, a woven fabric or a nonwoven fabric, a film, a lid, a laminate can contain a polymer, and non-volatile and polymer-compatible carboxylic acid. The thermoplastic polyolefin polymer composition can contain the polymer, a cyclodextrin modified polymer and non-volatile and polymer-compatible carboxylic acid. A carboxylic acid residue of the polymer composition can react with a basic material in a polymer environment thereof and suppress release of the basic material. Cyclodextrin can function to absorb or capture other contaminant or odor in the environment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
