PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reconstruct a storage system without manual intervention even if failure occurs in any storage device.SOLUTION: A management device comprises: a storage device incorporating unit that incorporates a standby storage device connected with a storage system via a communication line into the storage system if failure that disables access to any of a plurality of storage devices constituting the redundant storage system occurs; and a storage system configuration unit that reconfigures the redundant storage system from the storage devices in which failure has not occurred and the incorporated standby storage device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
