Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric energy control system for controlling electric energy consumed by a plurality of electric devices, which prevents damage on the devices due to power outage or voltage drop caused by excessive increase in electric power consumption.SOLUTION: A control device 10 executes the steps of: monitoring whether a total of electrical energy consumed by a plurality of target home electrical appliances 30 exceeds a first consumption threshold value set at a value smaller than limit electric energy that represents maximum electric energy allowed for the plurality of target home electrical appliances 30 (S160); and transmitting a shifting instruction to a power-saving mode to each of the target home electrical appliances 30 when the monitoring electric energy exceeds the first consumption threshold value (S170). Upon reception of the shifting instruction to the power-saving mode from the control device 10, each of the target home appliances 30 shifts from a normal mode in which functions of each of the target home appliances 30 operate with normal electric energy to the power-saving mode in which the functions operate with electric energy consumption less than the normal electric energy consumption.
