Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the managing method for memory area so as to easily add a memory area when allocated memory capacity is insufficient.
CONSTITUTION: When issuing an IC card, directories A and B are prepared by dividing the memory area of an EEPROM and defining an area A for A and an area B for B. The memory area of this IC card is shared by both of A and B. When the area A for A is saturated and capacity is lacking at the time of using the IC card, a directory A2 is prepared by newly allocating a different area A2 for A. Chain information showing both of them are linked with other is written in the directories A and A2.
