Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel mandelonitrile oxidase that oxidizes an α-cyanohydrin compound such as mandelonitrile and catalyzes reaction which generates benzoyl cyanide and the like; and a gene encoding the oxidase.SOLUTION: The mandelonitrile oxidase and the gene encoding the mandelonitrile oxidase according to the present invention have a specific amino acid sequence and a specific base sequence, respectively.
