Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the productivity of a braider by using a mandrel having an antislipping part to ensure the clinging of a yarn.

CONSTITUTION: The clinging of a yarn onto a mandrel of a braider is ensured by placing a concave groove m' or a belt-shaped sattin finished surface m" at a location of the braiding point of a mandrel (m) in the peripheral direction as an antislipping member to reduce slipping between the mandrel and the yarn. The concave groove m' or the matte processed part m" of the antislipping part may be substituted with either of a non-rigid rubber, a raised cloth, a needle-planted belt-shaped material or a tacky adhesive coating layer. Further, the antislipping part may be placed on the entire part or a partial part of the peripheral direction of the mandrel (m).
