Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce yellowtail growth hormone in high efficiency by integrating a yellowtail growth hormone gene into a cultured cell of silkworm.

CONSTITUTION: A gene part is cut out of pKD-4 (3.2kbp) containing yellowtail growth hormone BGH and inserted into a vector having a thermal shock protein gene (hsp) promoter of Drophila and SV40 terminator (poly-A addition region) to prepare phspB plasmid. The vector pBR322 of the phspB plasmid contains a gene (Ampr) resistant to antibiotic substance, amplicillin. The above plasmid clone is integrated into a culture cell of silkworm to produce the objective yellowtail growth hormone.
