To provide a manual printer performing printing on a recording medium based on a user's manual moving operation in a predetermined linear moving direction in which print results closer to a desired mode can be attained even when a gap resulting from camera shake arises.
When printing is performed by moving a manual printer 1, an amount Xa of bending gap and an angle of bending gap are calculated from a first number Na of detection times and a second number Na of detection times Nb detected by a first encoder 30A and a second encoder 30B. When an oblique movement arises in a correction period T, an amount Xb of oblique gap and the current angle n of oblique gap are calculated from the first number Na of detection times, the second number Na of detection times Nb and the angle n-1 of oblique gap immediately before. Printing is performed by correcting the print data by the dot from the value of accumulated total amount of gap Xn calculated by the amount Xa of bending gap and the amount Xb of an oblique gap.
