PURPOSE: To obtain the titled material having an electroconductivity in a particular direction and a non-electroconductivity in the other directions, by extruding a rubber composition containing a fibrous electroconductive material into a rod, vulcanizing it, and cutting it into a sheet.

CONSTITUTION: The rubber composition containing the fibrous electroconductive material 4 such as metal fine wires is extruded into a rod. After the rod is vulcanized, and rod is cut into the shape for example of a rubber sheet 2 so that both ends of said fibrous electroconductive material 4 are exposed. Thus the desired material wherein the sheet exhibits electroconductivity in the direction 2 traversing the thickness while it does not exhibit electroconductivity in the other direction 3 can be obtained.
