Abstract:
PURPOSE: To manufacture artificial diamond by deposition by adding free atomic carbon to a solvent contg. a dissolved specified catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: At lease one kind of compound such as LiAlH4, LiBH4, NaAlH4, NaBH4, NaBF4 or LiBF4 is put in a vessel as a catalyst, and a solvent such as ethyl ether or tetrahydrofuran is poured to dissolve the catalyst. Free carbon atoms obtd. by heating graphite are then added to the solvent, and they are deposited as artificial diamond.
