Abstract:
PURPOSE: To efficiently produce a band saw having saw teeth each tooth of which is sharp.
CONSTITUTION: A device is so constituted that a raw material 14 is continuously formed into saw teeth by punching the raw material 14 which is carried in at a constant pitch, between a fixed female die 22 and each of a plurality of male dies 101, 102, and 103 which are stepwise set for a rough work, an intermediate work and a finish work respectively with these male dies reciprocated or rotated. Since the saw teeth is continuously formed by means of the rough work, the intermediate work and the finish work, a band saw having the saw teeth each tooth edge of which is sharp can thereby be efficiently produced.
