To provide a manufacturing method enabling inexpensive manufacture of a branch pipe and forming equipment of a branch pipe saddle member which can be used for this manufacturing method.

A resin plate 1 in the shape of a rectangle or a square in a plan view is molded by injection molding of polyvinyl chloride and a hole 1a is formed in this resin plate 1 by machining by a drill or the like. Next, the resin plate 1 is heated to about 100°C and carried to a saddle bending machine, in a state of this temperature being kept, to be subjected to bending and projection machining and thereby a saddle member 11 having a cylindrical connecting part 11b integrally with a partially cylindrical saddle main body 11a is formed. In succession, this saddle member 11 is put in a cooling water tank and cooled down by cooling water. A joint component 12 is fitted firmly to the connecting part 11b of the cooled saddle member 11 by using an adhesive or the like and thereby a branch pipe is obtained.
