PURPOSE: To provide superior strength, corrosion and wear resistances to a cast steel product in shortened stages by simultaneously carrying out aging and surface treatment at the same temp.
CONSTITUTION: A maraging cast steel product is simultaneously subjected to aging and surface treatment at a temp. suitable for them to regulate the structure of the cast steel product by aging and to form a vapor-deposited film on the surface of the base material. By this method, problems such as deterioration in the quality of the cast steel product by overaging and reduction in the performance of a vapor-deposited film by the restriction of temp. are avoided, so a cast steel product having superior strength, toughness, corrosion and wear resistances is obtd.
