Abstract:
PURPOSE: To accelerate a curing speed by coating a cellulose material with specific alkaline phenol resin as an adhesive binder.
CONSTITUTION: Individual cellulose constituting materials (strands) are coated as a binder with an alkaline phenol resol resin solution containing 1 to 7 wt.% of potassium hydroxide, at lest 40 wt.% of solid content, and 2 to 8 wt.% of alkalinity content calculated as sodium hydroxide. Then, these cellulose constituting materials are heated and pressurized to cure the resin, and then the material is combined with the state of the board as the cellulose board material. Thus, the resin can be rapidly cured without discharging excess formaldehyde.
