PURPOSE: To produce a high-quality composite material having a fiber reinforcing material on the surface of a core material by a method wherein a matrix resin is thinly and uniformly applied with a spraying device on the surface of the core material so as to laminate reinforcing fiber sheet onto the resultant core material in order to infiltrate the resin in the reinforcing fiber sheet and finally harden the resin.
CONSTITUTION: With a spraying device 50 having a large number of spraying nozzles 51, at the tip of each of which a capillary tube 56 surrounded by a gas discharge orifice 55, a liquid matrix resin is jetted on the air flow discharged through the gas discharge orifice 55 from the tip of the capillary tube 56 on a core material arranged to one direction for the application of the resin. Since the uniform and thin application of the matrix resin on the core material can be realized, the manufacturing of a high-quality composite material becomes possible.
