PURPOSE: To prevent generation of rust on the edge and also a back flow of water spray by adhering a metal plate and a plastic film together, painting and cooling them with a water spray and removing the residual water of a finished product using an air spray when manufacturing a composite metal plate.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of a laminated composite metal plate 22 composed of a synthetic resin layer 23 and a metal plate 24, a composite metal plate water-sprayed from a nozzle 26 is cooled while passing through a cooler. Then the plate is subjected to the removal of water by means of a pair of linger rolls 29, 29 of NBR. In spite of this procedure, water still remains on the edge of a finished product. Therefore, said residual water 45 is blown off with an air nozzle or a jet nozzle 46. A cooler 62 for composite plate 60 has a gradient provided in the finished product proceeding direction at the inlet. For this reason, a support roll or a pair of support rolls 63 are provided, thus preventing a back flow of spray water 64 into the preceding process of the cooler 62.
