PURPOSE: To produce the decorative plate which is provided with windows for arranging the operative part of an instrument by a method in which punching work is applied to the base plate made of metal, thereby forming large apertures, and the decorative plate made of wood is stuck there to so as to cover the aperture, and there-after, the windows are formed by applying cutting work to the decorative plate.
CONSTITUTION: While the curved surface 52 and the folded edge 62 are formed by applying folding work and punching work to a metallic base plate 2, a plurality of a apertures 13 are formed on said curved surface 52. Then, while the veneer 9 of precious wood and a plywood 8 between which the adhesive film of thermosetting synthetic resin is caused to intervene are formed along the outer surface of the curved surface 52 and the folded edge 62 the base plate 2 under heating and pressurizing, they are stuck to the base plate 2. Next, trimming work is applied to the veneer 9 of precious wood and the plywood 8 along the upper and lower edges of the base plate 2, and after forced out adhesive has been removed, an opaque film-layer 11, is formed on the end surface of its whole periphery with layer-shape, and then a transparent coating layer 10 is formed on the surface of the veneer 9 of precious wood. Next, masking is achieved by sticking a tape 15 to the transparent coating layer 10, and NC-cutting work is carried out from the side of the tape 15. Each window 4 is formed, and burrs are removed, thereby obtaining a product 12.
