To provide a manufacture for a disc by which the circularity of the outer periphery of the disc is improved when it is cut from a plate and by which a disk of good concentricity and circularity of outer periphery and inner circumference thereof is cut with improved productivity without being cracked or chipped and affected by heat when a cured resin substrate is cut from a plate-like cured resin.
A plate-like cured resin 5 is fixed to a support surface and a disc-like cured resin substrate 6 having a center hole is cut from the fixed resin 5 and is burned to make a glass-plate like carbon substrate. A cutting tool 7 rotating around the axis orthogonal to the support surface is moved such that it passes in a circular path along the outer and inner peripheries of the substrates 6 in the state where the cutting tool 7 is cut in the resin 5 to thereby cut the substrate 6 from the resin 5. The cutting tool 7 is moved around the axis orthogonal to the support surface such that it passes in a circular path.
