PURPOSE: To obtain a disk record free from strain and deformation after cured by a method wherein an ultraviolet curing resin layer calendered at a high temperature is cooled and cured by irradiation of ultraviolet rays at the ordinary temperature.
CONSTITUTION: A space 13 formed by an acryl disk base 12 aranged on a quartz glass board 4 and a replica disk 5 arranged on the lower surface of a press plate 3 is made vacuous. Thereafter, ultraviolet curing resin is injected through a pipe 16, high temperature steam is injected through a pipe 7 to warm the press plate 3 and air is supplied through a pipe 10 to push the replica disk 5 to a resin layer. Then, cold water is poured into the pipe 7 to cool the press plate 3 and as the ultraviolet curing resin layer is kept at the ordinary temperature, ultraviolet rays are irradiated from the side of the base 12 to cure the resin layer. The base 12 providing the cured resin layer on its upper side is taken out of the device to form a metallic reflective film on the surface of the base and further a transparent protective layer on the surface. Thus, the disk record is completed.
