PURPOSE: To produce a disk tip saw with sharp cutting edge easily at less man-hour by embedding tips of which form is arranged beforehand for right and left teeth in the peripheral edge of a disk base metal so that they are adjacent to each other.

CONSTITUTION: Tips 3 are formed in a specified shape beforehand for right and left teeth by casting of hard metal, embedded in the peripheral edge of a disk base metal 2 in such order that the tips 3a and 3b for left and right teeth appear alternately, and then brazed. In the tip 3a for left tooth, a rake face 4 and a point end face each having a specified lateral clearance angle for left tooth are formed beforehand and, in the tip 3b, the rake face 4 and point end face each having a specified lateral clearance angle for right tooth are formed beforehand. The disk base metal 2 is set in a grinding machine, and fed in increment of one tooth for grinding. In this case, because the basic form of the tips 3a and 3b including the lateral clearance angle is generally finished beforehand, the cutting tolerance for grinding may be reduced and also the point end face only may be ground.
