PURPOSE: To obtain a laminate having an improved precision in thickness and being uniformed in the thickness direction, by fitting a belt-like tape at two positions in the width direction spaced corresponding to the effective width of a laminate over the total effective surface of an endless belt.
CONSTITUTION: A laminate (matter to be molded) 7 consisting of a metallic foil 4 and a resin-impregnated base 5 is continuously press-molded by passing through an endless belt 1, 1, being heated and simultaneously pressed in the direction shown with arrow A by a heating and pressing means 9. In this case, belt-like tapes 10 and 10 are fit respectively on two positions in the width direction spaced corresponding to the effective width W of a laminate 7, i.e. said metallic foil 4 and said resin- impregnated base 5, over the total effective surface of the endless belt. The material of this tape 10 has a heat resistance higher than molding temperature and less friction to the matter to be molded, and further the thickness and width of the tape are adequately set according to the product size. By virtue of the tape 10, at least the thickness for that of the tape is ensured for the product to be molded, and the deviation in the width direction of the product to be molded is prevented by the tape functioning as a chock, so that the uniformity in the width direction and thickness direction is obtained.
