Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron gun having an excellent cutoff characteristic by calculating a distance between a position of a first electrode and an electron beam emitting film of a cathode sleeve with a central position of an electron beam passing opening part of the first electrode as a reference.
SOLUTION: When an electron gun is assembled, a central position of an electron beam passing opening part of a first electrode 22 is measured. A position of the first electrode 22 in the moving direction of an electron beam is measured with this position as a reference, and a position of an electron beam emitting film formed on one end of a cathode sleeve 20 is measured. A distance between the first electrode 22 and the electron beam emitting film is calculated from a difference between the measured position of the first electrode 22 and the position of the electron beam emitting film. A distance between the first electrode 22 and the cathode sleeve 20 is adjusted on the basis of its result, and the first electrode 22 and the cathode sleeve 20 are fixed together by welding or the like so as to keep its distance. The obtained electron gun is used in a cathode-ray tube or the like.
