PURPOSE: To enable stable traveling of an endless belt type photosensitive body to be maintained by overlaying one of both ends of photosensitive sheets on the other end, pressing an ultrasonic vibrator to this overlaid part, and melting both ends to bond to each other.
CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive sheet is composed of a film support 10, a conductive layer 11 made of an aluminum vapor deposited film, a photosensitive layer 12 made of an org. photosensitive substance and a resin ormed on the layer 11, and both ends of this photosensitive sheet are overlaid one on the other. The ultrasonic vibrator 13 is brought into contact with the upper side of this overlaid part. The vibrator 13 is made of aluminum and formed into a horn- shape, and the top of the end is flattened to form almost a plane 5mm square. A vibration frequency of 20kHz is applied to the vibrator 13 in pressure contact with the overlaid ends, the vibrator 13 is moved in a speed of 7mm/sec to fuse said parts of the photosensitive sheet and to bond to each other. The bonded sheet is stuck in such a manner that both sides overlaid on each other are mutually melted and stuck to each other.
