Abstract:
To provide an eye lens manufacturing technique capable of easily and quickly mounting an eye lens to an cutting device, with high positioning accuracy and high holding force, and to improve the accuracy of cutting- machining an eye lens.
A tapered surface 16 is formed on the outer surface 14 of a lens blank 10 from which an eye lens is produced, while a tapered holding surface 32 which corresponds to the tapered surface 16 is provided in the main spindle 22 of an internal surface grinding device for cutting-machining a base curved surface. By lapping the tapered surface 16 of the lens blank 10 onto the tapered holding surface 32 and sucking them by negative pressure, the lens blank 10 is mounted to the rotary main spindle 22.
