PURPOSE: To easily install a faucet at a pipe end by a method wherein an elastic barrel thicker than the gap between a pipe end outer diameter and the inner diameter of a short pipe of which inner diameter is larger than the outer diameter of the former pipe is filled into the gap by keeping it in a stretched state, and then, that stretched state is released.
CONSTITUTION: An elastic barrel of which thickness is slightly larger than the gap between the pipe 1 end made of fiber reinforced resin or the like and an end of the faucet forming short pipe 2 possessing a little larger inner diameter than the pipe 1 outer diameter is inserted into the gap keeping the elastic barrel in a stretched state, that is, a state in which the thickness of the barrel 4 is made smaller than the gap. Thereafter, the stretched state is released and the length of the elastic barrel 4 is cut off so as to make it agree with the overlap length of the pipe 1 and the faucet forming short pipe 2, if necessary.
