PURPOSE: To increase orientative power of fibers and to obtain a thick-walled integrated body, by providing the electrode side with a convection-inhibiting membrane in integrating fibers which are electrostatically oriented by pouring between the electrodes a dielectric fluid in which fibers such as whiskers, etc., are dispersed.
CONSTITUTION: The whiskers or fibers 1 are dispersed into the dielectric fluid 2. This dielectric fluid 2 is poured between the electrodes 8, 9 which are provided with convection-inhibiting membranes 12, 13 on the anode 8 and/or cathode 9 side. Then a high voltage is impressed on the above and the fibers are electrostatically oriented into a stabilized state so that one end of the fiber 1 is an anode 8 and another end is a cathode 9. Subsequently, the oriented fibers 1a are integrated in the above state.
