Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To from a belt loop of high quality free from defects. SOLUTION: In a flexible belt manufacturing device, a tip edge of a flexible web is carried form a feed roll to a slit station, and the web is cut off at a site away from the tip edge by the given distance to form a web segment with a front tip edge on one end and a rear tip edge on the opposite end, and the front tip edge is carried toward the rear tip edge. At least one flied stream is flowed upward on the web segment and an upward expansion is formed on a segment adjoining the front tip edge, and at least one fluid stream flows downward on the web segment to form the web segment into the U-shape. The front end edge is overlapped with the rear edge to form a joint (joint section), and the joint is welded to bond permanently the front tip edge with the rear tip edge to form a belt.
