PURPOSE: To manufacture a resin-made flexographic plate which has superior resolving power and endless constitution by exposing an image formation layer on a light-setting resin sleeve plate to a laser beam with scanning system and thus forming an image, and then printing the image, and developing its latent image.
CONSTITUTION: On a metallic cylinder 10, light-setting resin 14 is formed and onto it, a thin-film image formation layer 16 is formed. A base 12 is coated with the light-setting resin 14 with an adhesive layer 13 interposed. This plate is scanned with a laser beam. This laser beam is generated favoraly by an argon or YAG laser, etc. In this scanning exposure, a film part which corresponds to a positive image of original image lines are destroyed and blown away. The plate given the image is printed. This printing sets light-setting resin at a part 18 irradiated with light to form a latent image, and a part 20 which is not irradiate with the light because it is covered with the image formation layer 16 is left as it is unset. Then, the plate is treated by development. Then, the plate is treated by postprocessing such as drying and post-development to perform flexographic printing.
