PURPOSE: To provide a floating hose of small bulk with few number of steps by a method wherein an outer cylinder made of rubber is concentrically fixed outside a main body of the hose, a foaming liquid polymer is injected between the outer cylinder and the hose and then foamed therebetween.

CONSTITUTION: Inner rubber surface 1, reinforcing layer 2 and outer rubber surface 3 are wound on a mandrel in sequence. They are vulcanized to form a hose main body 4. During said operation, it is preferable to arrange a nipple 6 having a flange 5, and an annular projection 4a at the end part of the hose main body. Then, annular member 8 is arranged at the outer circumference of the hose main body 4, and outer cylinder 9 made of vulcanized rubber is arranged outside the annular member 8. Foaming liquid polymer is injected into a closed space 11 between the hose main body 4 and the outer cylinder 9, then foamed therein.
