PURPOSE: To manufacture a glass bottle with superior impact resistance by forming an air curtain at an arbitrary time from a molded parison inverting stage to a rough mold closing stage so as to prevent foreign matter from sticking to a plunger.
CONSTITUTION: A glass gob is put in a rough mold and press-molded with a plunger 1 to form a parison, and the parison is inverted, shifted into a finish mold, nnd blow-molded to manufacture a glass bottle. In order to prevent foreign matter from sticking to the plunger 1 in the manufacture, by properly changing the time setting of timers 10, 11, a solenoid valve 7 is opened at an arbitrary time from the inverting stage to the rough mold closing stage to form an air curtain 4 covering the plunger 1 through spouting holes 3. At this time, the pressure of air is reduced with a reducing valve 5, and the air is cleaned with a filter 6 and fed to the holes 3 of the cap 2 through the valve 7 and a pressure regulating valve 8.
